Russell Genealogy and Family History

This website is dedicated to the Russell Families of Lunenburg, Mecklenburg, and Brunswick Counties of colonial Virginia

Current information indicates several Russell Families inhabited the counties of southside Virginia during the colonial period.  Over time this site will seek to assemble historical records, DNA data, family trees, and discussion in an effort to better understand the possible relationships of these families and facilitate research.

Under Community Trees, researchers are welcomed to contribute information on their lines to the Southside Russell Community Tree.  Contributors will need register to protect the integrity of these datasets.
